Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services Responds to Hay Trailer Fire
On Saturday, October 26th at 2:54 pm, units from Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services responded to the report of a vehicle fire described as a truck with a trailer of hay bales on fire. Upon arrival, units found a passenger pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer with numerous bales of hay on fire. Fire personnel took aggressive fire suppression actions and were able to contain the fire to the trailer, saving the truck. Construction to Begin for 2024 F-14 Pavement Resurfacing Project
The City of Atascadero is pleased to announce the work on the 2024 F-14 Pavement Resurfacing Project will begin Monday, October 28th. The project consists of pavement resurfacing a total of 1.37 centerline miles (2.74 lane miles) of critical neighborhood roadway segments in the north/central areas of town, including: • Capistrano Avenue (from Highway 41 to Lewis Avenue): Dig out and fill/pave back in spot locations 10/28-10/29, with resurfacing to follow in mid-November. 2024 Colony Day Parade & Festival: Notice of Road Closures and The ECR Project Updates
The City of Atascadero is excited to celebrate the 51st Annual Colony Days Parade & Festival on Saturday, Oct. 5. Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services has seen an increase in fire activity recently. Over the last 24 hours there have been two significant fire incidents in the jurisdiction. With fire season at its peak and resources being utilized statewide, it is vital for our community to be fire safe.
