The Citizens’ Sales Tax Oversight Committee was established for the oversight of the 2014 Sales Tax Measure. The Committee shall annually review revenues and expenditures from the collection of the tax created by the adoption of Ordinance No. 581, and shall also review the Annual Road Report prepared by the City. The Committee shall, through the City Manager or her designee, submit the Committee’s findings and conclusions to the City Council.
The Citizen's Sales Tax Oversight Committee is comprised of nine community members; seven members appointed to the Committee by individual Atascadero community groups and two members appointed by the City Council. Appointees shall be residents of the City; however, no member of the Committee shall be an elected official.

How to Submit Public Comment
Public comment may be provided in-person.
Written public comments are accepted at cityclerk@atascadero.org. Comments should identify the Agenda Item Number in the subject line of the email. Such comments will be forwarded to the CSTOC and made a part of the administrative record. To ensure distribution to the CSTOC before consideration of an item, please submit comments no later than 12:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. All correspondence will be distributed to the CSTOC, posted on the City’s website, and be made a part of the official public record of the meeting. Please note, comments will not be read into the record. Please be aware that communications sent to the CSTOC are public records and are subject to disclosure pursuant to the California Public Records Act and Brown Act unless exempt from disclosure under applicable law. Communications will not be edited for redactions and will be printed/posted as submitted.
