The Citizens’ Sales Tax Oversight Committee was established for the oversight of the 2014 Sales Tax Measure. The Committee shall annually review revenues and expenditures from the collection of the tax created by the adoption of Ordinance No. 581, and shall also review the Annual Road Report prepared by the City. The Committee shall, through the City Manager or her designee, submit the Committee’s findings and conclusions to the City Council.
The Citizen's Sales Tax Oversight Committee is comprised of nine community members; seven members appointed to the Committee by individual Atascadero community groups and two members appointed by the City Council. Appointees shall be residents of the City; however, no member of the Committee shall be an elected official.

How to Submit Public Comment
During the meeting, the Chairperson will invite attendees to speak at the times set aside for public comment. This includes the designated time for public comment on general matters not included on the agenda, but over which the Committee has authority, and in response to items included on the agenda.
If you wish to provide public comment but not via a live platform, please email your public comments to cityclerk@atascadero.org. Such email comments must identify the Agenda Item Number in the subject line of the email. The comments will be forwarded to the CSTOC and will be made a part of the administrative record. To ensure distribution to the Committee prior to consideration of the agenda, the public is encouraged to submit comments no later than 5:00 p.m. the day before the meeting. If a comment is received after the deadline for submission but before the close of the meeting, the comment will still be included as a part of the administrative record of the meeting but will be forwarded to the Committee the next business day. Please note, email comments will not be read into the record.
