City of Atascadero presents Summer Movies in the PARK!

“WONKA” AUGUST 10TH & “KING FU PANDA 4” AUGUST 24TH, 15 MINS. AFTER SUNSET AT COLONY PARK SOFTBALL FIELD #2

The City of Atascadero and platinum sponsors, Central Coast Community Energy bring you the 2024 Movies in the Park! Movies will show Saturday’s August 10th and August 24th. All the movies are family friendly and will begin about 15 minutes after sunset at Colony Park Softball Field #2, located at 5599 Traffic Way, next to the Colony Park Community Center in Atascadero. Prior to the movies, beginning at 6pm, there will be a variety of fun games and activities for the whole family to enjoy! Chalk drawing, frisbee tossing, mini-soccer games, and sack races! There will also be family wiffle ball games, please reach out to our recreation team to ensure your family’s spot in one of the wiffle ball game matchups!

On Saturday, August 10th, we are pleased to present “WONKA” (PG)!  Based on the extraordinary character at the center of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and one of the best-selling children’s books of all time, “Wonka” tells the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today.

The second movie, “KUNG FU PANDA 4” (PG) will be featured on Saturday, August 24th! After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior is called upon by destiny to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace.

Both movies are a must see for the entire family under the stars on the Colony Park Softball Field!  Paradise Shaved Ice will be available at each movie selling concessions. We encourage everyone to bring their blankets and low back chairs to enjoy an evening of entertainment and fun under the stars. Movies and activities are FREE to the community!
