The City of Atascadero is pleased to announce the appointment of David J. Van Son as the City’s next Fire Chief. Following an internal recruitment process, City Manager James R. Lewis has selected Battalion Chief Van Son to lead the Atascadero Department of Fire & Emergency Services upon the retirement of Fire Chief Casey Bryson. City of Atascadero Reminds Residents: ALL Fireworks Are Prohibited Within City Limits
As Independence Day approaches, the City of Atascadero and the Atascadero Police Department are reminding residents that the use of any fireworks within the City of Atascadero is prohibited, including "Safe & Sane" fireworks. While California law allows the sale and use of Safe & Sane fireworks in certain communities, they may not be discharged anywhere within the City of Atascadero.
