The City of Atascadero Community Development Department will host our “Coffee with a Planner” next week! These events are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month. These informal sessions allow staff to hear from the community about a variety of topics including land use, zoning, city policy, and development projects. On March 6, 2026, at about 1:30 a.m., an Atascadero Police Department sergeant was patrolling the 5900 block of Entrada Avenue when he spotted someone who appeared to be spray-painting graffiti on the wall of a local business. When the sergeant attempted to detain him to investigate, the suspect ran from the area. After a search, the suspect was eventually found hiding behind Malibu Brew, in the 5900 block of West Mall.
