Start Smart Programs

Covid-19 guidelines in place!

 
 
START SMART FLAG FOOTBALL (3-5 yrs)
 
 
Start Smart Flag Football teaches children the basic motor skills needed to play organized flag football without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Participants will work one-on-one and spend quality time with their parents, with some guidance from an instructor. This activity is held once a week for 5 weeks, with each week the exercises becoming increasingly more difficult as the class progresses and the children show improvement. This program is designed to help kids and parents have a positive sports experience together! Sessions will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 - 4:30pm November 11th through December 16th with no session the week of Thanksgiving.

START SMART SOCCER (3-5 yrs)
 
 
Start Smart Soccer teaches children the basic motor skills needed to play organized soccer without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Participants will work one-on-one and spend quality time with their parents, with some guidance from an instructor. This activity is held once a week for 5 weeks, with each week the exercises becoming increasingly more difficult as the class progresses and the children show improvement. This program is designed to help kids and parents have a positive sports experience together! Sessions will be held on Monday afternoons from 3:30 - 4:30pm November 9th through December 14th with no session the week of Thanksgiving.

Covid-19 Guidelines will be strictly followed for this activity. Staff will be required to wear masks and have their temperature taken prior to each class. Every parent/child duo will have their own activity station spaced at least 6' apart from others and will have their own, non-shared equipment. This activity will take place outside at the Colony Park Community Center.
