Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services are encouraging residents to remain diligent in the removal of vegetative growth to decrease the fire probability and potential fire growth.  The goal is to reduce the ladder fuels and highly combustible brush along with following the city’s weed abatement program. In addition to the Chipping Program the Department is reminding residents to utilize the green waste recycling or the Fire Hazard Reduction Burning Program. When utilizing the Fire Hazard Reduction Burning Program, please be sure you maintain compliance with the burning regulations. Failure to follow the burning regulations will result in a citation and is subject to penalty under the City of Atascadero Municipal Code. To find out more about burn season please CLICK HERE.
