Atascadero Creek Clean Up Day 2021 – Great Success!

On Saturday, September 18th, we had over 60 wonderful volunteers that came out to assist with Atascadero’s annual Creek Clean Up Day!

We give very special thanks to Atascadero Mutual Water Company and Waste Management for all their help and coordination;

We’d also like to give shout outs to the terrific members of the Atascadero Land Preservation Society (ALPS), the Beaver Brigade, and Atascadero High School Earth Club for all their hard work;

Not to mention the members of the Lyons family, for gathering up over 30 tires too!

Thanks everyone for your time and dedication to this clean-up effort!

Cornhole Tournament 2021 -

A total of 160 participants (or 80 teams) played in the 5th Annual Showdown Cornhole Tournament.

A very special thanks to Mike Lopicolo with Knights of Columbus and Kiwanis of Atascadero for bringing back this family-fun event!

Participants attended from all over San Luis Obispo County, as well as from San Diego, the Bay Area, and the Central Valley.

Over $1,400 in cash prizes were awarded;

And approximately $6,000 in proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Central Coast and Atascadero Boy Scout Troop #51.

Mark your calendar for September 16th & 17th in 2022!

Rotarians Repaint Senior Center-

On Sept. 25, about 20 volunteers from the Atascadero Rotary Club spent four hours repainting the recently reopened Atascadero Senior Center to help revitalize it.

Members of the club donated a lot of labor and time and Terra Paints donated all of the paint.

The senior center reopened a few months ago, after being closed for over a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They are offering many valuable and needed services to our area seniors again.
