The Atascadero City Hall was built between 1914 and 1918 by Edward G. Lewis and has become one of California’s historic landmarks. The building was damaged during the 2003 San Simeon Earthquake and has been vacant since. Efforts to restore this cornerstone of the community are underway. The City of Atascadero has selected Bernards to be the Construction Manager for the duration of the restoration project. The project team including the City of Atascadero, Bernards, and Pfeiffer Partners has been working on the preconstruction details necessary to beginning work in August. This webpage has been specifically designed to keep the public informed of the progress of the project. It will also serve as the central location for a number of proactive opportunities to participate in the project (notice the left side bar of anticipated links “coming soon”). The page will be updated at least monthly depending on the actual progress of work.
