The City of Atascadero has started a focused update to the Housing Element of the General Plan in April 2014. The Housing Element is an important part of the City’s General Plan. It is a policy guide that describes housing-related needs and resources in the community. The Housing Element establishes a strategy to address housing needs for current and future residents in a wide socio-economic range. 

Draft 2014-2019 Housing Element for Public Review / October 7, 2014 Planning Commission Meeting

The Planning Commission will review the proposed draft housing element at its October 7, 2014 meeting starting at 7pm. The Draft 2014-2019 Housing Element is available by clicking the link below. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the City Council. The City Council will hold a public hearing later this year for adoption of the Housing Element.
