Burn Season is OPEN January 1st 2017

Residents must obtain Daily Burn Status by calling (805) 466-0770 option 8

Burn days will not be allowed until 5 days after the last day of rain.

The Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services strongly encourages residents to utilize alternative forms of disposal, such as the Waste Alternatives, Green Waste recycling container or the Chipping Program. Burning should be used as a last resort.

Copies of Atascadero’s Burning Regulations and various waste alternative programs are available at either Fire Station or following the link below.

The Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services has a zero tolerance policy and will issue citations for violations of the burning regulations. Information is available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at Fire Station 1, located at 6005 Lewis Avenue.

If you would like further information regarding Burn Season, please feel free to contact the us at (805) 461-5070.

Citations will be written for non-compliance
